George had the opportunity to be part of John Rich's video shoot of his song "Raisin' McCain".  This is Senator John McCain's rally song for President that John Rich penned for him. George had a great time making this video along with 30 to 40 other people. Look forward to John Rich's video coming soon. 

 

 

 

It's official!!! George is having his song "I like to drink" recorded and released on album by the legendary Bernie Early.  Bernie began his career as a young rockabilly singer on MGM records, selling over a million records. His most notable songs include "Rock Doll", which he wrote, and "Your kisses kill me". Being recently inducted into The Rockablilly Hall of Fame, Bernie still gets major airplay in Canada and other stations around the world. Bernie has worked with Brenda Lee and has appeared on numerous TV shows including The American bandstand with Dick Clark. Stay tuned to more info and a chance to listen to Bernies version of "I like to drink".

The Press Kit is Finished!!!!


We finally got the press kit finished and most of them distributed out to major publishers. There is a 8 X 10 color photo a bio page and a sponsorship page included. Also included is a CD containing 12 songs written by George and other co-writers. There are 5 new songs on there yet to be released  so stay tuned to George's website and Myspace page. You will get a chance to listen to these fabulous songs. If you are interested in a press kit please email us with your mailing information and we will gladly send you one. I know

Feb 12th 2008 George finished two new songs on his own. Titled "Deja vu" and "Like those Alan Jackson songs" Go to the Music page and listen to them. Let him know what you think. 

March 12th 2008 George will be in Nashville meeting new publishers with the possibility of getting signed for a staff writing deal. He's been holding out looking for the perfect company to work with that is more family oriented. In the past George has worked with some smaller companies but they did not meet his satisfaction. Let's wish him luck on this trip.

June 5th -8th 2008 George will be in Nashville performing with Jason Thomas at the CMA FAN FAIR. Check back for times and dates of shows.
 

Old News

June  7th 2007 George has completed two new songs. One is "I don't want another heartache" which is sung by country artist Dusty Drake who's got a song on country radio called "Say Yes". The other is "Back left hand corner" sung by Julie Burton out of Nashville. These songs will be added to the new press kit that is currently being made.

August 2nd 2006 George is now having his song "River of Redemption" recorded by  Nashville recording artist Daryle Singletary. Daryle will be in the studio cutting songs for his new album on August 16th and he will be recording George's song as well. It will be added on the listening room page shortly after that date...so come back and listen to it.

Visit Bill Maier and the "Ten Gallon Fat" website and hear George's song "She's my Mexico". Go to his Music link and click on download. www.tengallonfat.com Bill Maier is one the hottest songwriters and entertainers in Nashville.

August 19th 2006  The FCMA (Florida Country Music Association) held the yearly chapter showcase at Mr. G's rock and roll joint in West Palm Beach, Fl. George took home first place in both country and gospel original song categories.

October 17th 2006  George won "The Country Jukebox" Songwriting award out of Nashville for the best new country song. George submitted a newly written song titled "If I could just be me". Over 100 entries were submitted. The song was originally written for a girl to sing and George will have it recorded later next month in Nashville.

October 22-27 2006   George will be attending the NSAI Song Camp 301 in Nashville. This song camp is for the semi-professional writers who are associated with a publishing company and have several songs in their portfolio that are professionally recorded. Some of the professional writers that will be attending to teach the Song Camp will be Rivers Rutherford (When I get where I'm Going - Brad Paisley, A real good Man - Tim McGraw), Hugh Prestwood (This song remembers when - Trisha Yearwood), James Dean Hicks (National working women's holiday - Sammy Kershaw). George will be staying a few extra days for some writing sessions with Matt Angel of "No Whammies Publishing"

November 11th 2006 George will be pulling out the fiddle techniques playing for Nashville recording artist Jason Thomas at the Homestead Speedway Sports Complex in Homestead Fl. Jason Thomas will be the opening act for Confederate Railroad and the headlining act Trick Pony. There will be pictures and video's on this website coming soon. Come out and watch George play.

December 14th 2006 George again will perform with Nashville recording artist Jason Thomas. Jason will be opening up for Nashville recording artist Jake Owen at the Everglades farm Equipment in Wellington Florida. Show starts at 7pm. This will be a private function. Sorry Guys!!!.

March 2nd 2007 Check out the new songs George just completed. Go to the listening room and listen to "Mexico on my mind" and "That's why your gone". Email George and let him know what you think.

March 27th - 31st 2007 George will be attending the NSAI Tin Pan South in Nashville TN. He will be writing with some top songwriters while he is there.

March 29th 2007 George will be performing with Nashville Recording Artist Jason Thomas in Nashville TN.

June 7th - 10th 2007 George will be performing with Jason Thomas at the CMA Fan Fair in Nashville TN.

June 24th-30th 2007 George will be attending the the famous week long Mark O'Connor fiddle camp at the Montgomery Bell Park in Burns TN.  This is the mother of all fiddle camps. George will be along side with some of the most famous fiddle players around like Bruce Molsky, George Gao, Judy Hyman, Buddy Spicher, Aubrey Haynie, and Mark Wood to name a few. George will be attending with another well known fiddle player Neal Phillips of Orlando Florida.
